Join us and the chief curator of the gallery, Christelle Havranek, as we explore a wealth of material on the Bauhaus documentarian Lucia Moholy from newly discovered collections and archival documents. We will present the full breadth of her writings and photographs from the 1910s to the 1970s.
We’ll delve into her early years in Czechoslovakia and Germany, her extensive portrait work, and her involvement in early forms of information science, including microfilm, in England and Turkey. You’ll also learn about how the exhibition came together and be introduced to the works of artist Jan Tichý, whose pieces reflect the turbulent history of this notable writer and photographer.
