This guided tour of Roman Ondak’s exhibition offers an introduction to the work of the contemporary Slovak artist, who continues the tradition of 1960s and 1970s conceptual art. Ondak’s practice draws on everyday objects, situations and materials, which he transforms into poetic and often ironic reflections on daily life. The exhibition presents a cross-section of his twenty-year career and also includes interactive installations. During the tour we will focus on the perception of reality and time, and on how, through apparent ordinariness, we can uncover deeper layers of human experience.
