Members’ Trip: ARCO Madrid
Date: 5–8/3 2026
Madrid is a city that feels no need to impress quickly with grand, empty gestures. Art is undeniably woven into the city’s DNA, making it home to some of Europe’s most significant gallery collections. This artistic spirit thrives not only within museums and galleries but also in the streets, parks, and on the building façades, all given a unique texture by the signature golden "Velázquez light."
In March, the city will host the 45th edition of the ARCO Madrid art fair. It is your chance to discover Spanish and Latin American artists who are rarely showcased in other parts of Europe.

Your four-day itinerary is packed with exclusive experiences, including:
-
Unlimited 1+1 entry to ARCO Madrid for the duration of your stay (2500 CZK).
-
As part of the ARCO VIP program, we will visit the building where 40 artists, from the youngest generation of Spanish artists to mid-career, have their studios
-
A visit to the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía. Beyond its most famous masterpiece, Pablo Picasso’s Guernica, you will see one of the world’s finest collections of Salvador Dalí, the dreamlike compositions of Joan Miró, and works by other major Spanish and international figures (F. Bacon, M. Rothko, A. Calder, G. Richter, etc.).
-
A private visit to the studio of contemporary Spanish artist Secundino Hernández (his artwork is part of the Kunsthalle Praha collection).
-
A guided tour of the Fundación Cristina Masaveu, a private foundation housing an extensive collection of Spanish classical, modern, and contemporary art. The foundation was also instrumental in the installation of the Julia sculpture by Jaume Plensa in central Madrid.
-
Coffee at the residence of the Czech Ambassador to Madrid, Mr. Libor Sečka, and Mrs. Sabrina Sečková.
