The company Prusa Research was founded in 2012 by Czech developer Josef Průša. Today, it employs over 1,000 people and ships more than 10,000 3D printers directly from Prague to 160 countries around the world every month. Průša also opened a prototype workshop called PrusaLab, which explores the boundaries of digital technologies, develops, and supports innovative projects, such as the interactive installation Ctrl+Play, which opened in November 2025 at Kunsthalle. The installation transforms 3D printers into musical instruments, and every visitor can try to play and compose music themselves. We will take a tour of Prusa Research to see where similar projects are developed and produced.
