We invite you on another art trip, this time to the vibrant city of Liberec for an action-packed program. Together, we’ll explore the key spots shaping the town’s contemporary cultural scene. We’ll tour the Museum of Fine Arts Liberec (Galerie Lázně Liberec), discover the story behind Lesní koupaliště, an award-winning open-air swimming pool by studio Mjölk, and visit the studio of artist David Hanvald, whose work is part of the Kunsthalle Praha collection.

10:30 Museum of Fine Arts Liberec (Galerie Lázně Liberec)
Housed in a beautifully restored former public bathhouse from 1902, the gallery will host a guided tour with Director Filip Suchomel. He’ll lead us through One Minute Forever, an exhibition by contemporary conceptual artist Erwin Wurm, while sharing behind-the-scenes stories and history. The visit will wrap up with free time to independently explore the gallery’s extensive collection and other temporary exhibitions.

12:30 Group Lunch at Black Horse

For lunch, we will head to Black Horse, one of the oldest restaurants in Liberec. The restaurant focuses on quality ingredients, simplicity, and a welcoming atmosphere inspired by Irish cuisine.

14:30 Mjölk: Lesní Koupaliště (Open-Air Swimming Pool)
The revitalized Lesní koupaliště is one of the region’s most compelling recent architectural transformations. Architectural studio Mjölk helped breathe new life into this beloved local spot, turning it into a unique space where nature, architecture, and community meet. An architect from Mjölk will walk the group through the site, sharing the story and design principles behind the project.

16:00 Studio Visit: David Hanvald
The final stop brings us to the studio of contemporary Czech artist David Hanvald, whose works are featured in the Kunsthalle Praha collection. During the visit, he will present his latest work and offer a peak into his creative process.
