Anna-Eva Bergman & Hans Hartung: And We’ll Never Be Parted
The intertwined lives of Anna-Eva Bergman (1909–1987) and Hans Hartung (1904–1989) are unique in the history of 20th-century artistic couples. Their shared journey spans their first meeting in Paris in the 1920s, their separation in 1937, the Second World War, and their eventual reunion in 1952. Despite their closeness, they remained stylistically distinct, constantly refining their artistic approaches. The exhibition explores this interplay of differences and similarities. Bergman and Hartung shared close sources of inspiration: the forces of nature, the far reaches of the universe, and the language of music. However, each interpreted these in their own distinctive way. Although their works are fundamentally different, their paths often intersect, creating a shared space—one where they could live together through painting.

Kristýna and Marek Milde: The Call of the Forest
The Call of the Forest is Kristýna and Marek Milde's first institutional exhibition in Prague. It showcases works that playfully challenge the dichotomy between nature and culture. Illustrating the blurred boundaries between the domestic and the wild, the pieces combine unconventional elements and materials. A key part of the exhibition features works created specifically for Kunsthalle Praha, including the New York taxi filled with living trees, Arbomobil (2024), and the video animation The Call of the Forest (2024), which vibrantly fill the spaces of Gallery 3.

Trafo, Concrete, Gallery
The unique architectural transformation of Kunsthalle Praha, led by the Schindler Seko studio, won the Gran Prix Architects award. Originally built as the Zenger transformer station in the 1930s, this technical landmark is now a remarkable building designed for cultural activities. The tour will focus on the original architectural intentions, historical context, and technical specifics of the current structure.
