Designer Workshop: kolemhlíny (CZE)

Date: 30/7 2025, 5 PM–7 PM

Visitors can try working with clay and discover how it is used in contemporary architecture and design. They will learn about the production technology, the composition of clay mixtures and their processing. And most importantly - they can touch it and create their own object.

The workshop will be led by representatives of the kolemhlíny collective and JanskyDundera studio, finalists of Czech Grand Design 2024.

Kolemhlíny is an interdisciplinary platform focused on the sustainable use of clay-based materials in architecture. They develop experimental mixes using locally sourced materials, examine the economic, social, and environmental aspects of clay construction, and collaborate with research institutions and companies both in the Czech Republic and abroad. Alongside consulting and project implementation, Kolemhlíny also promotes clay materials through education, workshops, lectures, and conferences.
