Discover the Cultural Mile: Art and History in the Heart of Prague

As you stroll through the center of Prague along the Vltava River, you will not only be treated to magnificent views but also to a rich cultural offering hidden in the local galleries and museums. The Prague Cultural Mile route includes six significant institutions, offering unique experiences for discounted admission.

One of these institutions is Kunsthalle Praha, the newest addition to the city's cultural map. It is located in a former transformer station that has been converted into a modern exhibition space. Kunsthalle boasts a unique café with views of Prague Castle and Petřín Lookout Tower.

Current exhibitions at Kunsthalle include Lucia Moholy: Exposures, Ester Geislerová: What We Should Have Said but Didn’t.

Along the Cultural Mile route, you will also find other noteworthy institutions worth visiting. Clam-Gallas Palace is a gem of Baroque architecture where Beethoven and Mozart once performed. The Prague City Gallery on the second floor of the Municipal Library offers some of the most beautiful exhibition spaces in Prague. The Museum of Decorative Arts entices visitors with its rich decor and stunning views of the Jewish Cemetery. The Rudolfinum, home of the Czech Philharmonic, is a Neo-Renaissance building with a rich program and an educational center for children. Lastly, Museum Kampa, located in the historic Sovovy Mlýny, offers a modern gallery of Central European art and a beautiful view of the Vltava River.

From July 15th, when you visit any of these institutions, you will receive a 20% discount on entry to the others for a week. With the Prague Visitor Pass, entry is completely free.

This cultural initiative aims to highlight visual arts in the center of Prague and introduce the institutions that showcase them to a broader public. The Cultural Mile is a great opportunity for art lovers and tourists who want to discover Prague's cultural treasures at a discounted admission rate.
