Members’ Trip: EPO1 & UFFO in Trutnov
Date: 4/10 2025, 8.45 AM– 6 PM
Join us on a trip to EPO1 — a contemporary art center housed in the impressive space of a more than one-hundred-year-old power station. With its vast area of 3,400 m² and its striking industrial setting, EPO1 has earned the nickname “the Czech Tate Modern.”
You can look forward to a special guided tour with director Jan Kunze, who will take you beyond the exhibition halls and into the backstage stories. You’ll see current exhibitions and works by leading names of the Czech art scene, including Patrik Hábl, Jiří Surůvka, Eva Damborská, and many more. We set off on Saturday, October 4 — don’t miss it!
Our journey continues to UFFO, the cultural and community center in Trutnov. This remarkable architectural project won the prestigious Czech Building of the Year award in 2011 and has become a vibrant hub for concerts, theater, and other cultural events. Director Libor Kasík will personally guide you through the space, offering a look at how contemporary architecture can merge with a lively, diverse cultural program.
