Members' Designer Workshop: Metal Shelves with Karolína Vintrová

Date: 26/4 2026, 10 AM–1 PM

The new Designer Workshop will focus on upcycling materials from the exhibition Persistent Worlds by Alice Bucknell. Participants will work with sheet metal originally designed by architect Richard Loskot as a shimmering river flowing through the exhibition.

Metal, which has seen a significant resurgence in interior design in recent years, is a material that designer Karolína Vintrová has long worked with. Her projects include cutlery designs for the brand Fabini and her graduation project Creative Habitat – a set of objects for working in an artist’s studio. The shelves that participants will create during the workshop are based on this project. They will try their hand at bending sheet metal and applying its final surface finish, and will take home a shelf they have made themselves.
