Members' Designer Workshop: Metal Shelves with Karolína Vintrová

Date: 26/4 2026, 10 AM–1 PM

This upcoming Designer Workshop focuses on the upcycling of materials from the exhibition Persistent Worlds by Alice Bucknell. You will work with sheet metal, which was designed by architect Richard Loskot to resemble a shimmering river flowing through the exhibition space.

Designer Karolina Vintrova has a longstanding practice of working with metal, a material that has seen a significant surge in interior design in recent years. Her portfolio includes cutlery designs for the Fabini brand and her thesis project Creative Habitat, a collection of objects designed for use in an art studio. The shelving units that you will create during this workshop are based directly on that project. You will gain experience in sheet metal bending and surface finishing, ultimately taking home a shelf you have crafted yourself.
