Listening to Paintings: A Listening Session in the Anna-Eva Bergman & Hans Hartung Exhibition

An experimental program in a new format, listening sessions held directly in the exhibition, is designed to foster more focused engagement with paintings and to sharpen our ability to truly look. In Anna-Eva Bergman & Hans Hartung: And We’ll Never Be Parted, we will turn our attention to the later stages of both artists’ work and explore how paintings can be experienced over time, much like listening to music.

Special ambient tracks composed by musician Miroslav Haldina invite visitors to slow down and perceive the artworks and the dialogue between them with greater sensitivity. The program takes the form of a guided tour without words: participants receive headphones and are led through a series of stops within the exhibition.
