Kids’ Opening: CTRL+Play at Kidshalle

Date: 6/11 2025, 3 PM

Bring your children to the opening of a new interactive installation in the Kidshalle! CTRL+Play invites you to make music using an unconventional instrument — a 3D printer. Parents with children, as well as curious adults, can use a special controller to experiment with the tones produced by the printer and even compose a short piece of music. As the sounds play, the printers also come alive with light and movement.

The installation builds on the building’s history as an electrical substation, opening up themes of light, sound, electricity and motion, with the aim of engaging visitors intuitively in contemporary art and creative experimentation.

The installation was designed by digital designer Michael Rosa, a multidisciplinary creator specializing in CGI, 3D scanning and interactive or projection-based solutions. The collaboration is supported by PrusaLab, a high-tech prototyping studio and makerspace under Prusa Research, which provided the technological facilities and 3D printing capabilities. The interior and modular structure inspired by 3D printing were developed in collaboration with product designer Karolína Vintrová.
