Family Workshop: What Do I Feel in My Belly? (CZE)

Date: 15 November 2026, 10:00

What don’t I like? What am I afraid of? And what if I’m afraid of drawing? That’s okay. We can put our pencils aside and try scratching, folding, cutting and playing with different materials instead. We’ll give our fears a shape of their own. And who knows? Maybe they won’t seem so scary after all. We might even start to like them. And if not, we can always make a talisman to keep them away.

The workshop takes inspiration from the exhibition Annette Messager: Tragikomedie, which explores the space between playfulness and unease, fascination and fear. There’s no need to create a perfect picture. Instead, we’ll experiment with materials, follow our intuition and find our own ways to express feelings and fears.

The workshop will be led by illustrator and visual artist Dora Dutková, who enjoys exploring different materials and techniques in her work. Her books include Papaver: The Adventure of Botany and Alice.

Recommended age: 4–10 years. Children aged 4–6 must be accompanied by an adult.
