Musician Toyota Vangelis will deliver a special performance in CTRL+Play installation, using 3D printers to generate sound in highly unexpected ways. The mechanical movements, vibrations, and rhythmic patterns of the printing process will form the foundation of a live sonic composition navigating the boundaries of experimental electronics, industrial ambient, and performance art. Echoing the core themes of the Ctrl+Play installation, which explores the relationship between technology, play, and human creativity, the concert will offer visitors a unique audiovisual experience.
Singer-songwriter Václav Peloušek, performing under the moniker Toyota Vangelis, blends simulated acoustic sounds with electronics and digitally processed vocals. While his songs often revolve around romantic metaphors, they subtly weave in intimate reflections on big data, the climate crisis, and alienation. He is also the co-founder of Bastl Instruments and the Future Jiskří music collective.
