Artist Talk: John Sanborn & Theo Carnegy-Tan (free)

John Sanborn is a student of Nam June Paik and one of the main representatives of American video art. He was involved in the creation of the first music videos for MTV and is associated with the New York party underground scene.

The artist is now presenting his work at Kunsthalle Prague as part of the exhibition called Notes on Us. John Sanborn will personally introduce his work in a conversation with theorist and curator Theo Carnegy-Tan. Together, they will focus primarily on the artist's creation of experimental video art from the 1970s and 1980s. They will also discuss Sanborn's unique integration of text, music, and choreography with queer themes.
