How can artificial intelligence assist in artistic creation? What should we focus on, and how do we communicate with AI? These are the questions participants of the workshop will explore. They will build on the exhibition of artist Chiharu Shiota: The Unsettled Soul, finding inspiration in her striking site-specific installations, discovering moments and spaces to animate over time. Using artificial intelligence, participants will learn to bring static images to life and create short videos. This will be done by generating visuals and text on tablets using the Runway app, which will be provided to all. The workshop will emphasize developing imagination, refining prompts, and describing both cinematic and static imagery.
The aim of the workshop is to explore the potential and limitations of creative work with artificial intelligence, guided by experts from the educational organization Aignos. Aignos organizes seminars and workshops that utilize AI to foster digital literacy, critical thinking, and creativity. Through project days and seminars, they showcase the benefits and risks of AI tools. Aignos are finalists of the AI Awards in 2024 and 2023. We collaborate with Aignos on preparing expert introductions for our workshops, consult with them, and jointly develop skills in selected applications.
