Making Absence Visible: A Curatorial Perspective on the Exhibition Lucia Moholy: Exposures

Curator Jordan Troeller’s lecture will provide insight into the curatorial strategies employed in planning the current exhibition Lucia Moholy: Exposures and will address the challenges faced in curating material often characterized by loss, absence, and especially missing negatives.

Jordan Troeller is an assistant professor of contemporary art history and aesthetic practice at Leuphana University Lüneburg in Germany, where she also leads the research initiative The M/Other Project: Creativity, Procreation, and Contemporary Art as a Freigeist Fellow from the VolkswagenStiftung. She has published extensively on Lucia Moholy, including in the journal October, and is the editor of the exhibition publication Lucia Moholy: Exposures.
